Here’s a look at one of the custom Lighting Control Modules (LCMs) we’ve designed, fabricated and wired entirely in-house at ABE Engineering for a major lighting system refurbishment.
The project involves upgrading an existing lighting installation to a modern KNX control system while making full use of the existing field wiring. By designing bespoke LCMs around the current infrastructure, we’ve significantly reduced the amount of rewiring required.
The only new cabling needed throughout the installation is the addition of KNX-certified bus cable, allowing the existing lighting circuits to remain in place while delivering all the flexibility and intelligence of a KNX system.
Each enclosure has been:

This approach not only reduces installation time and disruption but also provides a clean, scalable and maintainable solution for future expansion.
